Primary Sources

While trawling through my favourite blogs I have come across a number of great sites that offer up fantastic free primary sources that can help the Modern History student.

My most recent find is oldmagazinearticles.com this is an incredible repository of old magazine articles from the late 1800’s to the mid 1900’s as well as audio clips and film clips. It is all the work of one committed individual and it is well worth checking out.

The next site I offer up for your consideration, is the incredible INTERNET ARCHIVE .  I would not be exaggerating to say that you will be amazed. Here you will find an incredible repository of film, music, audio and text. There is also the WayBack Machine that allows you to check out old webpages that are otherwise no more, there are 85 billion pages archived here.

The A.P. European History Web Links Page is a great place to start research into European History from Medieval days to Modern times.   Another amazing resource is:

There are separate pages for different periods of history , its an excellent resource.
